Real Fake Fur by Sophy Stoenner
Textiles graduate Sophy Stoenner creates sophisticated, 1920s-inspired trimmings using animal hair and dander that has been humanely gathered - either naturally shed by the animal or combed out by hand.
Stoenner then uses a range of methods of material manipulation, alongside processes like hair extensions and lace making, to create each piece. By taking hair from animals in an ethical way, her practice is a fresh alternative to conventional, and often controversial, fur production.
